Orbit Underground Sprinkler System Winterization Kit, Brass Fittings. Designed to fit on either a 1/2" riser or a standard 3/4" outdoor hose faucet, this kit is used for blowing out an irrigation system. Simply remove a sprinkler head from the line and attach an air compressor via the adapter fitting. It fits most brands of air compressors and is for outdoor irrigation systems only. These all brass fittings can be connected to an air compressor and then to either a pipe threaded riser or fitting or an independent hose spiget. The fitting blow excess water out in an in ground irrigation system. Blowing out the excess water from your system helps keep the pipes from freezing during the winter months and reduces yearly maintenance on your system.
